Milli Mike returns to the podcast to recap everything that went down in a weekend full of fights.
Mike starts things off giving us a lowdown of the 'Bellator 260' main event. Where Yaroslav Amosov became the new Welterweight Champion, with a decision win over Douglas Lima.
And then I breakdown 'Invicta FC's Phoenix Tournament'.
Where eight women, who might be small, but definitely brought the fight, entered the cage, looking to win the right to fight for the Atomweight title!
Lindsey VanZandt & Jessica Delboni both looked good in their runs to the final. But Delboni was the one able to impose her will and get the win. Which means, she gets to rematch the current champ Alesha Zappitella.
Then we both go in on 'UFC 263: Adesanya vs. Vettori 2' And the card had plenty to talk about!
Like Chase Hooper vs Steven Peterson. Peterson got the win and was able to impose his will, BUT, Hooper's striking was a huge improvement, and he showed a lot of heart!
What Paul Craig did in his fight with Jamahal Hill should have the division worried. And props to Hill, didn't even flinch when his arm went!!!
And people, let's talk about debuts! In his last fight for 'Legacy Fighting Alliance' he said he was ready for the big show. And DAMN Terrance McKinney was not fronting, cause 7 seconds backs the hell up of that claim!!!
In the first ever non Main event five round fight, Leon Edwards put on a masterful display. BUT, Nate Diaz is dangerous until the end. And gave Edwards a worrying last minute after rocking Rocky at 14:00 on the clock!
In the Co-main, people doubted Brandon Moreno claiming he was lucky to get the draw in the first fight. BUT, Moreno put in work, sharpened those skills, and came into the rematch and dominated Deiveson Figueiredo until the third round, where he wripped that belt away to become the NEW, and first ever Mexican born champion. Which can NEVER be taken away from him!!!
AND, then, in the Main event, Israel Adesanya showed what skill looked like when he put on a masterclass against Marvin Vettori. Who just couldn't find a way to get his gameplan going. And Adesanya showed that with fighters his size, there's no competition!!!
