Chin Check - 220 (Recap)

With the last weekend of BIG fights, there was a lot to look forward to.

It all started Friday night with 'Cage Fury FC's' '104: Bilder vs Buenafuente'.

The night was a bit of a 'Serra-Longo' showcase, as they had two fighters in the mix on a six fight Main card, and both delivered in a BIG way! Charlie Campbell got it popping with a ferocious second round stoppage. And then in the Co-main, Phumi Nkuta defended his Flyweight strap, with a dominant performance. Cutting a killer promo afterwards!

The Main event, which had late replacement Frank Buenafuente step up to fight Blake Bilder was CRAZY!!! Buenafuente might not have been training for five rounds, but he took it to Bilder, and looked like he was in control. Until in the second, Bilder pulled a triangle out the bag, and became the NEW Featherweight champion!!! Watch CFFC recap: HERE.

THEN, Saturday night, we had the last 'UFC' card of the year 'UFC on ESPN+ 57: Lewis vs. Daukaus'.

Thirteen fights, ten finishes, the year ended with a BANG, f'sure!

The Prelims gave use the three submissions of the night, starting with Jordan Leavitt in the very first fight. Then Raquel Pennington hit a Guillotine and Gerald Meerschaert finished things off with a Rear naked choked! Watch Prelim recap: HERE.

The Main card opened with a banger, as Cub Swanson gave us a vintage performance, sealing it with Wheel kick KO!

Mateusz Gamrot got it done with a vicious knee to the kidney and Ricky Simón uppercut put the icing on his cake! Watch Main card recap: HERE.

THEN, in the Main event, Derrick Lewis roared back with a vengeance, emphatically telling the haters he ain't done. As he KO'd Daukaus, to become the leading knockout artist in the 'UFC'!!! Watch Main event recap: HERE.
