We start off with Lluís Quílez's new film 'Bajocero' which is streaming on Netflix. It tells the story of a policeman who transfers to a new precinct and his first duty is to transport prisoners in the dead of night on a lonely back road, what could possibly go wrong!
Nora Unkel wrote & directed 'A Nightmare Wakes' which hits Shudder today. The film explores the fateful trip to Lake Geneva with her lover Percy Shelley and stepsister Claire Clairmont. During this time she suffers a miscarriage, and also the birth of her famous novel 'Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus', while trapped in an opium-fuelled fever dream where reality and the novel clash!
Josie Hess and Isabel Peppard's documentary 'Morgana' is playing at the 'San Francisco Indie Fest' and documents Morgana Muse's sexual reawakening. From a dutiful housewife stuck in a loveless, sexless marriage, ready to end her life. After an encounter with a male escort, she rises up to become a celebrated sex-positive feminist porn star!

The Final Girls Berlin Film Festival - Poster
The Final Girls Berlin Film Festival - 2021
Berlin’s premier showcase of horror films directed and produced by women and non-binary filmmakers, will return in the new year for the 6th time and first virtual edition. The fest will run from February 4 - 7, 2021, and include features, short blocks, and an impressive slate of talks and special offerings. Feature films will be geo-locked to Germany while several short blocks and all non-film programming will be viewable worldwide. This will be followed by a planned second in-person event to take place over Halloween weekend, October 29-31, at City Kino Wedding in Berlin.
