Echo Chamber - 134 - Part 1
We have a double header for you today! Part one of @EchoChamberFP has four, that's right, FOUR films. Two horror, one gangster and a drama-com. As well as news on this year's BFI Flare Festival.
We start with director Alessio Liguori new film 'Shortcut' which is out on DVD & VOD 29.03.21 Classmates Nolan (Jack Kane), Bess (Sophie Jane Oliver), Karl (Zander Emlano), Queenie (Molly Dew @molly_dew) and Reggie (Zak Sutcliffe) are on their way home, when the school bus has to make detour, due to a blocked road. Maybe on any other day this would have been fine, BUT, tonight is a very rare lunar eclipse. And the things that bump in the night, you really don't want to meet!
'Last Call' directed by Paolo Pilladi who co-wrote with Greg Lingo will be hitting VOD's on 29.03.21 The films about Mick (Jeremy Piven), he grew up in Upper Darby, but moved away to become a real estate developer. His family still live there and run a bar called 'The Bottom'. When his Mum dies, he returns for the funeral and to help save the bar and try and pluck up the courage to ask out his childhood crust Ali (Taryn Manning). Though a deal his boss has asked him to push through could be the end for the family business and all the other businesses in town!
The new British gangster flick, 'Nemesis' is directed by James Crow who co-wrote with Adam Stephen Kelly. We meet John Morgan (Billy Murray) an underworld kingpin and his wife Sadie (Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott) as they come back to London to meet his daughter Kate’s (Ambra Moore) new girlfriend Zoe (Lucy Aarden). Coming back stirs up a lot of old, thought buried tension with a few people. His boss Damien Osbourne (Bruce Payne), his brother Richard (Frank Harper), and a cop Frank Conway (Nick Moran) who's looking for revenge. His nephew Eddie (Danny Bear) has a lot to contend with if he's going to keep John safe! It is out on DVD & VOD 29.03.21
'Violation' the new film directed & written by Madeleine Sims-Fewer & Dusty Mancinelli is out on Shudder TODAY!!! Miriam's (Madeleine Sims-Fewer) marriage is crumbling around her, so she returns home to see her younger sister Greta (Anna Maguire) and her husband Dylan (Jesse LaVercombe). One night Miriam makes a drunken mistake, which is met by the deepest betrayal. When she tries to find comfort with her sister, Greta pushes her away. Which for Miriam, leaves her with only one option left, unadulterated revenge!!!
