Echo Chamber - 137 - Part 1

Today's @EchoChamberFP is a TWO PARTER!!! We start off with three films, a dystopian British drug fuelled gangster flick. A Thriller that might seem familiar but definitely has new twists. AND, we end the first installment with a new Shudder original which will have you jumping jumping!!!

'Red Rage' is the second release from Saints & Savages and it's written & directed by Savvas D. Michael. There is a new designer drug on the streets, 'Red Devil' and it is making people crazy addicts. Instep, the Knights, Oscar (Jack Turner) & Ella (Fernanda Diniz), they're on a mission to remove the drug from Covet County, thanks to a vision Oscar had of God. All of which brings them on a collision course with Hugo (Ian Reddington).

'Run' is the new film from Aneesh Chaganty who co-wrote with Sev Ohanian. We follow Chloe (Kiera Allen) a bright teenager looking forward to going to University. Her Mum Diane (Sarah Paulson) loves her, has been looking after her, home schooling her........and maybe controlling her! Because although Chloe is independent, she's in a wheelchair, which has its hurdles, and maybe Diane is using these to keep her close. OR, is Postman Tom (Pat Healy @thepathealy) gonna bring that acceptance letter and all will be fine......OR, will Chloe need to run for her life!!!

On Shudder today is 'The Power' the NEW movie and feature debut, from Corinna Faith. Set in 1973 when the unions and Government are at blocker heads, the country is dealing with blackouts. Which is bad timing for young Val (Rose Williams) who is starting her new job as a nurse. As she arrives at the hospital for her first day, everyone is being evacuated to another site. And just a few patients are remaining. Val gets stuck having to work the night shift, which means she'll have to confront her fear of the dark, past traumas, a new colleague Babs (Emma Rigby) who she knew from the children's home and she used to bully Val. But, does she have a friend in Dr Franklin (Charlie Carrick), and does that even matter, when there is a terrifying presence named Gail (Clara Read) lurking in the shadows of the crumbling old building looking for vengeance!!!!
