Echo Chamber - 139 - Part 1
We have another two-parter for @EchoChamberFP this week! Starting off with another British indie, this time revenge. We then go to a conman / serial killer comedy and end on a new Netflix superhero adventure.
Michael Matthews directs and co-wrote (with Brian Duffield) 'Love and Monsters'. Which explores seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson (Dylan O'Brien), has been keeping safe with his Colony in an underground bunker. After a near death experience, he decides to take a hazardous overground journey to be with the love of his life Aimee (Jessica Henwick). It's definitely not going to be easy, even with the companionship of Dog and some well timed help from Clyde (Michael Rooker) and Minnow (Ariana Greenblatt) a couple of survival experts.
Joe Penna new film 'Stowaway' has now hit Netflix. It follows a crew of a spaceship who have just set off for a mission to mars. Marina Barnett (Toni Collette) is the commander, Zoe Levenson (Anna Kendrick), the medical researcher, and David Kim (Daniel Dae Kim) the ship's biologist. They are going about their day to day, when they discover Michael Adams (Shamier Anderson), and the whole mission is thrown into a serious loop.
Amanda Ladd-Jones decided to create a love letter to her dad, the movie legend who a lot of people don't know, Alan Ladd Jr. Laddie has been at the forefront of some of the biggest films from the last few decades (Star Wars, Blade Runner, Alien, Police Academy). So Amanda speaks with some of the stars of those films, to find out, who is Alan Ladd Jr???
