Echo Chamber - 172 - Part One
@EchoChamberFP this week is a behemoth of 'THREE Parts'!! And we get things started with a directorial debut filled with nuns & drugs. We then have a new Shudder future western, before heading to Netflix for a HUGE blockbuster. And end things with another crazy Polish crime drama which is coming to a cinema near you!
'Habit' is the directorial debut from Janell Shirtcliff who co-wrote with Libby Mintz. When a drug deal goes wrong, street smart party L.A. party girl Mads (Bella Thorne) and her best friends Addy (Andreja Pejić) & Evie (Libby Mintz), they find a possible way out by masquerading as nuns.
'Prisoners' Of The Ghostland' directed by Sion Sono and written by Aaron Hendry & Reza Sixo Safai. In the treacherous frontier city of Samurai Town, a ruthless bank robber (Nicolas Cage) is sprung from jail by a wealthy warlord, The Governor (Bill Moseley), whose adopted granddaughter Bernice (Sofia Boutella) has run away. Strapped into a leather suit that will self-destruct within five days if he doesn’t find the missing girl, the bandit sets off on a journey to find the young woman — and his own path to redemption.
'Red Notice' is written & directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. When an Interpol-issued Red Notice the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the worlds most wanted goes out, the FBI's top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he's forced to partner with the world's greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world's most wanted art thief, "The Bishop" (Gal Gadot). The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle, and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other's company.
'Pitbull - Exodus' is written & directed by Patryk Vega and is told across a number of years, a part of the ever waging war between the police and the criminal empires spanning Eastern Europe. We follow one young man's life, his childhood, and adolescence, and ultimately his descent into the criminal underworld. His path soon crosses with a policeman who will stop at nothing to catch him.
