Echo Chamber - 186
This week's @EchoChamberFP has three films that oddly enough, all have odd relationships at their hearts. Adventure Kid & Signature Entertainment, bring us a little supernatural, and Indie Rights takes us to Berlin.
'Black Friday' is directed by Casey Tebo and written by Andy Greskoviak. Overworked, underpaid and ready for the apocalypse. It’s the biggest sale of the year and this time round the shoppers are out of their mind and out for blood. Fighting for their lives a misfit group of employees including store manager Jonathan (Bruce Campbell) find themselves fighting for survival against shoppers on a murderous rampage.
'HipBeat' is the directorial debut from Samuel Kay Forrest, who also wrote the film. A young political activist embarks on a journey of self-discovery while searching for love and anarchy within Berlin's colourful queer community.
'Bite Me' is directed by Meredith Edwards & written by Naomi McDougall Jones. When Sarah (Naomi McDougall Jones), a real-life vampire, gets audited by the IRS, the last thing she expects to get out of it is a date. But James (Christian Coulson), her hopelessly romantic IRS agent, thinks she’s other-worldly. As an unlikely attraction sparks between the two misfits, they are forced to confront whether they have the courage to commit the terrifying, radical act of falling in love.
