'Homebound' is the feature debut from Sebastian Godwin who also wrote the screenplay. It follows Holly (Aisling Loftus), a young woman who travels with her new husband (Tom Goodman-Hill) to meet his estranged family, only to find his ex-wife is missing and the children behaving in strange ways.
'Turning Red' is directed by Domee Shi, who co-wrote with Julia Cho & Sarah Streicher. It introduces Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda!
'Alaskan Nets' is directed by Jeff Harasimowicz. Off the coast of Southeast Alaska lies an island — remote, largely hidden from the outside world and home to the Tsimshian natives of Alaska’s last remaining native reserve: Metlakatla. For more than a century, two sacred traditions have defined Metlakatla: fishing and basketball.
