Echo Chamber - 206
EchoChamberFP is back on the solo tip, this week. BUT, we're still binging you the goods. Two Netflix joints, one romance, the other action. Then we look at a new documentary about swimming.
'Long Weekend' is written & directed by Steve Basilone. When down-on-his-luck Bart (Finn Wittrock) has a chance encounter with the enigmatic Vienna (Zoe Chao), the two fall fast and hard. An enchanted weekend courtship leads to unexpected revelations, but the secrets both carry could be their undoing or the chance for a fresh start.
'The Man From Toronto' is directed by Patrick Hughes and written by Robbie Fox & Chris Bremner. A case of mistaken identity arises after a screw-up sales consultant (Kevin Hart) and the world’s deadliest assassin known only as The Man from Toronto (Woody Harrelson) run into each other at a holiday rental.
'Blacks Can't Swim REWIND' is directed by Mysterex who co-wrote with Ed Accura. The film follows two separate stories, of a 15-year-old boy, Javell (Javell Grant), and a girl, Tyra (Tyra Ifill). Both struggle with the effects of the stigmas and stereotypes that have helped shape the narrative and thought process as to why the disproportionate number of African, Caribbean, and Asians in England do not swim.
