Echo Chamber - 242
It's that time again, so get ready for a new EchoChamberFP episode!
Things start off with RLJE Films new Shudder original physiological thriller. Then we have an indie drama from Bulldog Film Distribution & Alternate Current which shines a light on the decisions we make. AND, we bring it home with a chilling, twisty horror from Millennium Media & Lionsgate!
'Nocebo' is directed by Lorcan Finnegan and written by Garret Shanley. A fashion designer (Eva Green) suffers from a mysterious illness that confounds her doctors and frustrates her husband (Mark Strong) – until help arrives in the form of a Filipino nanny (Chai Fonacier) who uses traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth.
'The Subject' is directed by Lanie Zipoy and written by Chisa Hutchinson. Phil Waterhouse (Jason Biggs) a successful white documentary filmmaker with a thriving career, brilliant girlfriend (Anabelle Acosta), and lovely suburban home. Now is dealing with the fallout from his last film, which caught the murder of a Harlem teenager Malcolm (Nile Bullock) on tape. While he shoots a new doc series for a major network, someone films his every move, threatening his idyllic life.
'The Offering' is directed by Oliver Park and written Hank Hoffman & Jonathan Yunger. In the wake of a young Jewish girl’s disappearance, Arthur (Nick Blood), the son of a Hasidic funeral director (Allan Corduner) returns home with Claire (Emily Wiseman) his pregnant wife in hopes of reconciling with his father. Little do they know that directly beneath them in the family morgue, an ancient evil with sinister plans for the unborn child lurks inside a mysterious corpse.
