In 'Part ONE', we have a new Prime Video exclusive from Constantin Film & Decal Releasing, an indie horror / comedy from Diamond Dog Entertainment. AND, two very different indie features, a drama / fantasy from MGM, and a comedy / drama from Canal+ & Neon, both dropping end of late last year!
'Perfect Addiction' is directed by Castille Landon and written by Stephanie Sanditz, and based on a book of the same name by the Claudia Tan. Successful MMA trainer Sienna Lane (Kiana Madeira) discovers that her boyfriend Jax (Matthew Noszka), the reigning MMA underground fighting champion, has been cheating on her with her own sister. Sienna sets out to get revenge by training the one man capable of dethroning him: his arch-nemesis Kayden (Ross Butler).
'Summoning Sylvia' is the feature directorial debut from Wesley Taylor & Alex Wyse, which they also wrote. A gay bachelor party that takes a spooky turn when sinister spirits are suddenly summoned. The warm and whimsical Larry (Travis Coles) has been kidnapped by his three best friends (Frankie Grande, Troy Iwata & Noah Ricketts) for a bachelor weekend getaway at a haunted house. As they sashay through the Victorian corridors, the comrades recount the house’s legend from a hundred years ago: A murderous woman named Sylvia (Veanne Cox) slaughtered her son (Camden Garcia) and buried him beneath the floorboards. All seems fine and spooky until Larry’s ultra-straight brother-in-law (Nicholas Logan) crashes the proceedings.
'Three Thousand Years of Longing' is directed by George Miller, which he co-wrote with Augusta Gore. It's based on the short story 'The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye' by A. S. Byatt. Dr Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton) is an academic - content with life and a creature of reason. While in Istanbul attending a conference, she happens to encounter a Djinn (Idris Elba) who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom.
'Triangle of Sadness' is the English-language directoral from Ruben Östlund, which he also wrote. Celebrity model couple, Carl (Harris Dickinson) and Yaya (Charlbi Dean), are invited on a luxury cruise for the uber-rich, helmed by an unhinged boat captain (Woody Harrelson). What first appeared instagrammable ends catastrophically, leaving the survivors stranded on a desert island and fighting for survival.
