MGM bring us a tale of loss & redemption, then we have a couple of Disney+ joints! First we have an adaptation of a classic children's 1954 book, play and animation. Then vibrancy, joy, and engagement is brought back to the rom-com!!!
'A Good Person' is written & directed by Zach Braff. Daniel (Morgan Freeman) is brought together with Allison (Florence Pugh), the once thriving young woman with a bright future who was involved in an unimaginable tragedy that took his daughter’s life. As grief-stricken Daniel navigates raising his teenage granddaughter, Ryan (Celeste O'Connor) and Allison seeks redemption, they discover that friendship, forgiveness, and hope can flourish in unlikely places.
'Peter Pan & Wendy' is directed by David Lowery, and he co-wrote with Toby Halbrooks. Which is based on the classic story from J. M. Barrie. Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson), a young girl looking to avoid boarding school who meets Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), a boy who refuses to grow up. Alongside her brothers and a tiny fairy, Tinker Bell (Yara Shahidi), she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland. There, she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook (Jude Law), and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.
'Rye Lane' is the directorial feature debut from Raine Allen-Miller, and written by Nathan Bryon, and Tom Melia. Two strangers, Yas (Vivian Oparah) and Dom (David Jonsson), who have a chance encounter, after having both been through recent breakups, and spend the day getting to know each other.
