We're moving away from the Festival for a moment, and bringing you your regular EchoChamberFP episode!!!

Horror seems to be the theme this week, as we have three different offerings from the genre. Mainframe Pictures & Blue Finch Films start things off with an 80's summer camp homage. Tempo Productions & Shudder then bring us a tale steeped in Irish folklore and home invasion. Next is an action adventure sequel from AGBO & Netflix. AND we end on a documentary about a master horror storyteller from Les Films de la Plage & Signature Entertainment.

'She Came From The Woods' is directed by Erik Bloomquist who co-wrote it with Carson Bloomquist. Egged on by Peter (Spencer List), the prodigal grandson of the camp's owner, Gilbert McAlister (William Sadler), a group of teen camp counselors (Clare Foley, Adam Weppler, Ehad Berisha, Dan Leahy, Giselle Torres, Sienna Hubert-Ross, Emily Keefe) accidentally summon the spirit of the dead nurse who terrorized the camp with her occult experiments forty years earlier. Now the camp's counselors, and the McAlister family (Cara Buono & Tyler Elliot Burke) that owns the campgrounds, must fight for their lives, on the last night of camp.

'Unwelcome' is directed by Jon Wright who co-wrote with Mark Stay. Maya (Hannah John-Kamen) and Jamie (Douglas Booth) escape their urban nightmare of London to the tranquility of rural Ireland only to discover malevolent, murderous goblins lurking in the gnarled, ancient wood at the foot of their new garden. Heavily pregnant, Maya is soon targeted by the goblins and the family she befriended after forgetting to make sure the creatures are fed. Who - or what - will come to her rescue and what extremes will she go to to protect her unborn child?

'Extraction 2' is directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo. It's based on 'Ciudad', a graphic novel from Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando León González, and Eric Skillman. After barely surviving his grievous wounds from his mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is back. Along with Nik (Golshifteh Farahani) & Yaz (Adam Bessa) Rake and the team are ready to take on their next mission.

'King On Screen' is written & directed by Daphné Baiwir. Stephen King – one of the best-selling authors of the last century and undeniably a modern horror icon. His works have been translated into television shows, feature films, video games and more across the decades. Fans of the beloved nightmare writer are given the chance to meet the directors and creatives who brought unforgettable stories to the big screen from Carrie to IT, Misery, Stand By Me, Cujo, Children of the Corn and more.

Dances With Films - Poster

26th Dances With Films

Dances With Films (DWF:LA & DWF:NYC), now in its 25th year, champions the unflinching spirit at the very core of the independent film scene. While the vast majority of film fests rely heavily on celebrity, we have relied on the innovation, talent, creativity and sweat equity that revolutionized the entertainment industry. And that reliance continues to prove successful with alumni moving on to write, direct and produce celebrity-studded vehicles, star in blockbuster movies and television series, produce multi-million dollar films and create hit TV shows. Oh…. and we even have several OSCAR® nominees… In a world of homogenized, formulaic film festivals, DWF:LA continues to defy the rules.
