This is the first of our 'two' EchoChamberFP episodes, this week!!!

Today we have four films, starting off with JuVee Productions, Welle Entertainment and Sony Pictures history inspired epic! Vertical Entertainment then bring us a tale of redemption and family. We then have a new joint from Golden Concorde, Triangle Road Entertainment and Entertainment Squad which highlights the tension around friendships. AND we end on a joyful tale about growing, in age & maturity from DMC Film & Picturehouse Entertainment.

'The Woman King' is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and written by Dana Stevens & Maria Bello. It's the remarkable story of the Agojie, the all-female unit of warriors who protected the African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1800s with skills and a fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen. Inspired by true events, The Woman King follows the emotionally epic journey of General Nanisca (Viola Davis) as she trains the next generation of recruits and readies them for battle against an enemy determined to destroy their way of life. Some things are worth fighting for.

'Prisoner's Daughter' is directed by Catherine Hardwicke and written by Mark Bacci. Released from prison with terminal cancer, Max (Brian Cox) tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Kate Beckinsale) and the grandson (Christopher Convery) he’s never known. When his daughter’s abusive, drug-addicted ex-husband (Tyson Ritter) reappears, Max’s violent past comes back to haunt them all.

'Our Deadly Vows' is written & directed by Chris Chalk .Grace Charles (K.D. Chalk) needs time. Her book is unfinished, her friends (Cesa Pledger, Eden Marryshow, Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut, Byron Bronson, Natalie Woolams-Torres, Chantal Nchako) are demanding and her well meaning new husband (Chris Chalk) isn’t making things easier. What was meant to be a celebration send off for Grace quickly devolves into people pulling Grace in every direction. Grace approaches her limits as her friends begin disappearing one by one. What happens when the fight for friendship becomes a fight for your life?

'Scrapper' is the feature directorial debut from Charlotte Regan which she also wrote! It’s said that it takes a village to raise a child but 12-year-old Georgie (Lola Campbell) has other ideas. Living alone since her beloved mum (Olivia Brady) died, Georgie fills the flat they shared with her own special magic. But when her absent father Jason (Harris Dickinson) turns up out of the blue, she’s forced to confront reality.
