Sometimes on a Monday you need something to help kick the week into gear.....SOOOOO, we are bringing you a 'Special Edition' of @EchoChamberFP !!!

Thanks to Fremantle & tpf, we had the opportunity to look at an eye opening documentary that tackles the injustice of criminalising medical cannabis through the eyes of two sisters. We then speak to the incredible Caroline Sharp, who makes her feature directorial debut with the project, and imbues it with heart, warmth and empathy!

'Sisters Interrupted' is directed by Caroline Sharp. The documentary follows British sisters Chelsea and Tamsin Leyland as they both battle forms of epilepsy and together fight for access to a treatment that could save both of their lives. Filmed over three years, this is a defining story of a love of two sisters fiercely battling against all odds.

Caroline Sharp

Director, Producer, Cinematographer

Caroline has had an unorthodox career path, with the common thread of trying to creatively stimulate conversation and impact around the topics of neuroscience and mental health. She has a BA in Philosophy and an MSc in Neuroscience, and worked in the field of Alzheimer's research before branching into the film world, inspired to engage in tackling stigmas through education. Sisters interrupted, which premiered at raindance film festival this year, is her first feature documentary, and aims to showcase the very human side of living with such an unknown and stigmatised condition - epilepsy. She is now working in the medical-tech sector, developing businesses at the cutting-edge of the intersection between neuroscience/neurology and AI.
