As we have a new indie psychological thriller from Wolverine Films & Vision Films dropping on 19th March, we decided to give it a look! THEN, speak with the writer / director about what went into making his feature! Covering a range of topics like production, utilising experience, relationship building, AI, and much more! Definitely enlightening for those stepping into the field, and just navigating life in general!!!
'The Manifestation' is written & directed by Geert Heetebrij, in his feature directorial debut. An unsuccessful day trader (Jack Kesy) is desperate when he loses his family’s savings. Drawing from the teachings of a self-help guru (Usman Ally), he finds that he can manifest his inner voice in the form of a younger version of his wife (Inbar Lavi Bar Shira). With her help, he turns his luck around and is able to build a fortune, but soon discovers that she may have a much darker agenda and will take everything from him, even his life.

Geert Heetebrij is Associate Professor in Film & Media, Department of Communication at Calvin University. He is a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television’s M.F.A. Screenwriting Program, and the writer-producer of feature film A Foreign Affair (aka Two Brothers and a Bride) starring David Arquette, Tim Blake Nelson, and Emily Mortimer. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. His latest feature film is The Manifestation, starring Inbar Lavi, Jack Kesy, and Usman Ally.
