It's about time for 'Part TWO' of this week's @EchoChamberFP, and if you're in Manhattan, take note!!!
We're getting all experimental with this new indie lo-fi horror / drama, which makes incredible use of colour & sound. THEN, we have the young lady who created the whole thing in the hot seat. We learn how she was able to get the different affects we see. Her journey to discovering her visual style, the relationship with she has with sleep, and a lot more!!!
'Nyctophobia' is the feature directorial debut from Seayoon Jeong, which he also wrote. Liz (Olivia Clari Nice) struggles with nyctophobia (fear of the dark), a form of anxiety disorder that causes sleeping issues. She desperately tries to fall asleep by entering her “inner world,” where she can access happy childhood memories. However, she becomes trapped in a time loop in her lucid dreams and encounters a nightmare, Dark Figure (Christopher Gilbert), who appears in various clown forms. The loop pushes her deeper into her dreams, forcing her to reach her subconscious, where she meets her worst nightmare: the original form of Dark Figure.
