Our @EchoChamberFP coverage of the 65th BFI London Film Festival continues!

It's 'Day 2' and we have a couple of films, a royal unraveling, in 'Spencer' and an interesting look at dynamics of relationship, in 'Bergman Island'.

'Spencer' is the new film from Pablo Larraín and Steven Knight handled the screenplay. The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There's eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be profoundly different. SPENCER is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fateful days.

Written & directed by Mia Hansen-Løve’s, 'Bergman Island' follows a couple of American filmmakers, Chris (Vicky Krieps) and Tony (Tim Roth), who retreat to the mythical Fårö island for the summer. In this wild, breathtaking landscape where Bergman lived and shot his most celebrated pieces, they hope to find inspiration for their upcoming films. As days spent separately pass by, the fascination for the island operates on Chris and souvenirs of her first love resurface. Lines between reality and fiction will then progressively blur and tear our couple even more apart.
