Echo Chamber - 133 - Part 1
We have three films on today's @EchoChamberFP A revenge story and a psychedelic drama and a family flick, all on Netflix As well as news on this year's BFI Flare Festival.
We start off with the new film from director Julien Leclercq, 'Sentinelle'. It follows Klara (Olga Kurylenko) a solider returned to France after a traumatising mission. She's frustrated with patrolling the streets and addicted to painkillers. One day her sister Tania (Marilyn Lima) is found on a beach, nearly beaten to death. Klara now has a focus, hunt down the man who hurt her sister and make him pay!
'She Dies Tomorrow' is written and directed by Amy Seimetz. The film is about Amy (Kate Lyn Sheil) who is convinced she is going to die. She calls her friend Jane (Jane Adams) for help, who comes over to see her. Little do they realise they've both been infected and everyone they meet becomes infected and also start to unravel, thinking they'll die tomorrow!
Based on the book of the same name, by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld. Miguel Arteta brings 'Yes Day' to life. We meet the Torres, Carlos (Edgar Ramirez) is the cool Dad, while Alison (Jennifer Garner) is the joy killer. But one day, they decide to give their kids, Katie (Jenna Ortega) Nando (Julian Lerner), and Ellie (Everly Carganilla) a 'Yes Day'.......what could go wrong, right!?!
