This week's @EchoChamberFP gives you news on the upcoming 'Final Girls Berlin Film Festival'. PLUS, two films. First feature has hit Prime Video and Vertigo Releasing brings their new feature to theatres and digital!

'TiMER' is written by, and the feature directorial debut from Jac Schaeffer. What if a clock could count down to the moment you meet your soul mate? In this alternate version of present day Los Angeles, a revolutionary device called the TiMER fulfills this fantasy. For a reasonable installation fee and moderate monthly charges, a TiMER implanted in the wrist will accurately display the numbers of days, hours, minutes and seconds until the wearers date with destiny.

'Flag Day' is directed by Sean Penn, written by Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth, and is an adaptation of Jennifer Vogel's memoir 'Flim-Flam Man: A True Family History'. Jennifer Vogel’s (Dylan Penn) father John (Sean Penn) was larger than life. As a child, Jennifer marveled at his magnetizing energy and ability to make life feel like a grand adventure. He taught her so much about love and joy, but he also happened to be one of the most notorious counterfeiter in US history.

The Final Girls Berlin Film Festival - 2022

7th Deadly Edition

3rd - 6th February 2022

City Kino Wedding - Berlin

'Final Girls Berlin Film Festival' showcases horror cinema that’s directed, written, or produced by women and non-binary filmmakers. We are committed to creating space for female voices and visions, whether monstrous, heroic or some messy combination of the two, in the horror genre. We've seen more than enough representations of women as beautified victims and constructions of male fantasies or anxieties, and are working towards the primacy of women as subjects and storytellers in horror.

While features will only be screened in person, the majority of shorts will be available to watch virtually internationally — with tickets available: Here.
