It's time for another EchoChamberFP this week.
We get going with a look at computer game adaptation from Sony Pictures. Then there's a new indie sci-fi flick from Signature Entertainment. We get creepy with Altitude Films new horror, and bring it home with a Shudder Original.
'Uncharted' is directed by Ruben Fleischer and written by Rafe Lee Judkins, Art Marcum & Matt Holloway. Street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan, and lost 500 years ago by the House of Moncada.
'Control' is directed by James Mark who co-wrote with Matthew Nayman. With a fragmented memory and no clear way out, Eileen (Sara Mitich) is forced to complete tasks by an unseen entity whilst trapped in a mysterious room, or else her daughter will be killed. Her only clue is Roger (George Tchortov), the man imprisoned alongside her, claiming to be her husband - thrust into a reluctant partnership, the two must work together to save Eileen’s daughter. However, nothing is truly as it seems, and very quickly, a much greater plot is unveiled – with Eileen at the centre.
'House Of Darkness' is written & directed by Neil LaBute. It follows Hap Jackson (Justin Long), who drives Mina Murray (Kate Bosworth) home after they meet over drinks in a local bar. When she invites him into her home for a nightcap, however, the evening doesn’t follow the familiar path toward seduction. Doors creak and lights flicker and go out as the man keeps pushing for romance, even when unexpected occurrences offset his attempts at a romantic connection with this mysterious object of his desire.
'Deadstream' is written and directed by Joseph & Vanessa Winter. Shawn Ruddy (Joseph Winter), a disgraced internet personality attempts to win back his followers by livestreaming one night alone in a haunted house. First, an enthusiastic fan (Melanie Stone) throws off his plans. Then, when he pisses off a vengeful spirit, his big comeback event becomes a real-time fight for his life.
