In 'Part One' we have a Shudder Original, a Netflix thriller. We take a look at the Lockdown hit LuckyChap Entertainment & Focus Features, and Marvel Studios' new Halloween Special Presentation over on Disney+.
'Sissy' is written & directed by Hannah Barlow & Kane Senes. Cecilia (Aisha Dee) and Emma were tween-age BFFs who were never going to let anything come between them — until Alex (Emily De Margheriti) arrived on the scene. Twelve years later, Cecilia is a successful social media influencer living the dream of an independent, modern millennial woman, until she runs into Emma for the first time in over a decade. Emma invites Cecilia on her bachelorette weekend at a remote cabin in the mountains, where Alex proceeds to make Cecilia’s weekend a living hell.
'Blackout' is directed by Sam Macaroni and written by Van B. Nguyen. A man (Josh Duhamel) wakes in a hospital with no memory, and quickly finds himself on the run in a locked down hospital with the Cartel on his tail. He scrambles to find his true identity in the most vicious way.
'Promising Young Woman' is the feature debut from Emerald Fennell which she also wrote! Everyone said Cassie (Carey Mulligan) was a promising young woman... until a mysterious event abruptly derailed her future. But nothing in Cassie’s life is what it appears to be: she’s wickedly smart, tantalisingly cunning, and she’s living a secret double life by night. Now, an unexpected encounter with Ryan (Bo Burnham) is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs of the past in this thrilling and wildly entertaining story.
'Werewolf By Night', is directed by Michael Giacchino and written by Heather Quinn & Peter Cameron. On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader's life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic--a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster.
