'Summit Fever' is written & directed by Julian Gilbey. Michael (Freddie Thorp), a young English mountaineer sets foot to the Alps to help JP (Michel Biel) his bestfriend conquer “the Big Three” over a single summer – the Matterhorn, the Eiger, and Mont Blanc. Despite witnessing bloody fatalities while ascending the first two peaks, they persevere onto the final climb with friends Leo (Ryan Phillippe) & Natasha (Hannah New), unaware of a deadly storm brewing on the other side of the mountain..

Julian Gilbey
Julian Gilbey is a multi-award winning director whose debut Rollin’ With The Nines got him a BAFTA nomination in 2007 (Carl Foreman Award - Best Newcomer).
His feature A Lonely Place To Die is a multi-award winning film that has been distributed worldwide and played at such prestigious festivals as: Sitges, FantasticFest, Fantasia and was the closing film of Frightfest in London. He won the Silver Hugo in the After Dark Competition at the Chicago International Film Festival as well as Best Action Film at Toronto After Dark fest, Best Picture and Director at Actionfest and Best Actor in a Horror Film (Sean Harris) at FantasticFest.
Gilbey has recently spent the last 5 years filming his latest feature, SUMMIT FEVER, an epic mountaineering adventure set in the European Alps. He has shot extensively on the North Face of The Eiger and the notoriously dangerous Matterhorn to altitudes above 15,000 feet - the dedication to realism his absolute priority.
