'Duality: A Graffiti Story...' is directed by Ryan Dowling and written by #Dan Adams Once brushed aside – even deemed criminal - graffiti has since paved the way for many successful, credible artists today. With Duality, these street artists– some for the first time, some maintaining a strict code of anonymity – discuss their journeys from “tagging” to becoming respected icons in the cities they serve with pieces that are awe-inspiring in scope, size and complexity. Director Ryan Dowling was granted unprecedented access to an all-star roster of graffiti and street artists including 'Dual Streets' (Houston); 'Sloke' a.k.a. Nate Nordstrom (Austin); 'Meres' a.k.a. Jonathen Cohen (New York), 'Jaber/White Ninja' (West Coast); and 'Never' a.k.a. Jonas Never (Los Anegels) as well as Marie Flaguel Cecil who co-founded iconic mural space 5Pointz in Queens.

Ryan Dowling is a Documentary Filmmaker based out of Austin, TX. He has experience producing videos for small businesses, personal brands, and artists as well as directing and shooting his own feature documentary that is currently being distributed worldwide – DUALITY.
Ryan’s passion for film grew when he realized that he could tell powerful stories through a visual medium. Film allows him to express creativity in a way that helps unique stories get told and helps brands get their message across in a unique way. He’s been able to direct productions for small companies while connecting with a network of talented creatives through the process. Being able to take someone’s vision and turn it into a tangible item is what keeps him coming back for more.
In addition, Ryan is a proud Veteran as well as a Firefighter in the Austin area.
