'The Volcano: Rescue from Whakaari' is directed by Rory Kennedy and written by Mark Bailey & Dallas Brennan. A close examination of the Whakaari / White Island volcanic eruption of 2019 in which 22 lives were lost, the film viscerally recounts a day when ordinary people were called upon to do extraordinary things, placing this tragic event within the larger context of nature, resilience, and the power of our shared humanity.
'Strange World' is co-directed by Don Hall & Qui Nguyen with Nguyen also writing the screenplay. Avalonia is home to the Clades (Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union), a legendary family of explorers, and Callisto Mal (Lucy Liu), the leader of the exploration and president of Avalonia, who must set aside their differences as they embark on a journey to a mysterious land below their world, inhabited by surreal lifeforms to save a resource called Pando from losing its energy power source.
'The Banshees of Inisherin' is written & directed by Martin McDonagh Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, we follow lifelong friends Pádraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson), who find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly puts an end to their friendship. A stunned Pádraic, aided by his sister Siobhán (Kerry Condon) and troubled young islander Dominic (Barry Keoghan), endeavours to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. But Pádraic's repeated efforts only strengthen his former friend’s resolve and when Colm delivers a desperate ultimatum, events swiftly escalate, with shocking consequences.
'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery' is written & directed Rian Johnson. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is hired by Helen Brand to investigate the death of her twin sister, Cassandra "Andi" Brand (Janelle Monáe).
