It is Day 3 of the 35th 'BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival'.

We head over to Oceania for our @EchoChamberFP coverage today. Both films deal with homecomings of sorts, friendships, and love. Max Currie @maxcurrienz 'Rurangi' has Caz returning from tragedy to rekindle both forms of relationships. And Thomas Wilson-White 'The Greenhouse' has Beth's siblings returning for a celebration, which reaffirms friendships and might bring a chance of love.

'Rurangi' is written by Cole Meyers & Oliver Page, directed by Max Currie. Caz Davis (Elz Carrad) left home in his teens, cutting off all contact with his family and best friend (@awhinaroseashby), because he didn't think anyone would accept his need to transition. However, things start to fall apart, so Caz runs and ends up back home. Forcing him to confront the pain, his family, his friends, and perceptions.

Writer & director Thomas Wilson-White has done something truly spectacular with his unique and beautiful story 'The Greenhouse'. This is a tale of loss, regret, hope, and love. We follow Beth (Jane Watt) the eldest of Ruth (Camilla Ah Kin) & Lillian's (Rhondda Findleton) children, who stayed home to support her Mum and hide from love. One day though, she stumbles upon a Greenhouse, (which is a portal to the family’s past) just as younger sister Doonie (Kirsty Marillier) and brothers Raf (Joel Horwood) & Drew (Shiv Palekar) return home for their Mums birthday. What will this portal to the past and family reunion mean for Beth's repressed feelings, especially as her best friend Lauren (Harriet Gordon-Anderson) has also returned.
