@EchoChamberFP is back with more highlights from this years 'BFI Flare: London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival'.

Today, on 'Day 3', we look at a film about a poet struggling with sexuality and the horrors of the war. Plus a couple of Shorts.

'Benediction' is written & directed by Terence Davies and it explores the turbulent life of First World War poet, Siegfried Sassoon. Who survived the horrors of fighting in the War, and became a vocal critic of the government’s continuation of the war when he returned from service. Adored by members of the aristocracy as well as stars of London’s literary and stage world, he embarked on affairs with several men as he attempted to come to terms with his homosexuality.

'Fever' is directed by Angele Cooper and written by Jeremy Feight. It's a psychological thriller that follows Jay (Jeremy Feight), who after a series of violent events, escapes his racist family to embark on a new life with his Black boyfriend, Andre (David J. Cork). While taking a pit stop to celebrate Andre’s mother’s 50th birthday, Jay’s mental health unravels as he faces the realities of his interracial relationship and the dangers of his whiteness.

‘For Love’ is written & directed by Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor. Nkechi (Marcy Dolapo Oni), an illegal immigrant, who has been hiding for three years, lives with her girlfriend Martha (Ann Akinjirin) and their two other friends Dolapo (Diana Yekinni) and Tolu (Damola Adelaja). When immigration does a random check on Dolapo, both Nkechi and Martha are forced to make decisions about their love and their future together.
