Echo Chamber - 180 - Part One
It's the first @EchoChamberFP of 2022, and we're coming correct with a bumper edition! In 'Part One', we have FOUR films, an indie horror, an action revenge flick, a new Shudder original, and a HUGE new world spanning Espionage thriller!
'The Unhealer' is directed by Martin Guigui and written by J. Shawn Harris, Kevin E. Moore. Kelly (Elijah Nelson), a bullied teenager gains the means to fight back when Reverend Pflueger (Lance Henriksen) botches a faith healing, which bestows supernatural, shamanistic powers upon him. When his lifelong tormentors pull a prank that causes the death of someone he loves, the teen uses his newfound abilities for revenge and goes on a bloody rampage to settle the score.
'The Commando' is directed by Asif Akbar who co-wrote with Al Bravo & Koji Steven Sakai. James Baker (Michael Jai White) a DEA agent with PTSD returns home after a botched mission and must protect his wife Jennifer (Mia Terry) and two daughters, Natalie (Noa Maes) & Serafina (Desiree Geraldine) from a home invasion after Johnny (Mickey Rourke @mickey_rourke_), a newly released prison criminal and his henchmen come after a stash of millions of dollars inside of the agent's home.
'For The Sake of Vicious' is the new Shudder @shudder original, written & directed by Reese Eveneshen & Gabriel Carrer. Romina (Lora Burke), an overworked nurse and single mother returns home from her late shift on Halloween night to find a man called Chris (Nick Smyth) hiding out with a bruised and beaten Alan (Colin Paradine) as hostage. When an unexpected wave of violent intruders descends upon her home, the trio realize the only way out of the situation is to work together and fight for their survival.
'The 355' is directed by Simon Kinberg who co-wrote with Theresa Rebeck. When a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands, wild card CIA agent Mason “Mace” Brown (Jessica Chastain) will need to join forces with rival badass German agent Marie (Diane Kruger), former MI6 ally and cutting-edge computer specialist Khadijah (Lupita Nyong’o), and skilled Colombian psychologist Graciela (Penélope Cruz) on a lethal, breakneck mission to retrieve it, while also staying one-step ahead of a mysterious woman, Lin Mi Sheng (Fan Bingbing), who is tracking their every move.
