EchoChamberFP this week, steps back to look at two BIG films from last year, and earlier in July.

Then we have a new Shudder & Signature Entertainment animal horror flick. And a documentary that goes undercover in big game hunting!

'Mortal Kombat' is directed by Simon McQuoid and written by Greg Russo & Dave Callaham. Cole Young (Lewis Tan), a washed-up mixed martial arts fighter who is unaware of his hidden lineage or why the assassin Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim) is hunting him down. Concerned for the safety of his family, he seeks out a clique of fighters that were chosen to defend Earthrealm against Outworld.

'The Reef: Stalked' is written and directed by Andrew Traucki. In an effort to escape the trauma of their sister’s murder, Nic (Teressa Liane) and Annie (Saskia Archer) along with two close friends set off for a dream vacation. A Pacific island adventure lies ahead with drinks, sun and surf on the menu. Within hours of hitting the surf, the women are attacked far from land by a great white shark. Bleeding and vulnerable, it’s a race against time as they soon realise they’re being stalked by the beast as they venture closer and closer to safety. They are more than prey to the shark, they’re entertainment.

'Lion Spy' is directed by Rogue Rubin. Part thriller, part exposé, the dramatic Lion Spy has it all. When Director Rogue Rubin, a young woman who wants to prevent the extinction of wild lions, creates a false identity to portray herself as a "big game photographer" and rather seamlessly infiltrates the male-dominated world of trophy hunters in Africa, she inadvertently puts herself at tremendous personal risk.

Taika Waititi is back with the god of thunder, with the fourth adventure, 'Thor: Love and Thunder', which he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Thor's retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who - to Thor's surprise - inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance and stop him before it's too late.
