In 'Part TWO', of this week's @EchoChamberFP we take a look at a new Short film which has qualified to be considered for the 2023 Oscars and won numerous Awards! We sit down with the films writer, director & producer, to find out how everything came together!

'I miei occhi (My Eyes)' is written & directed by Tommaso Acquarone. A woman (Ksenia Rappoport) finds a familiar face (Mestre Harina) whilst driving in the rain and offers him a ride home: a journey that could change their lives forever.​

Tommaso Acquarone

Tommaso Acquarone

Tommaso Acquarone is a writer and director born in Savona (Italy) in 1992.

In 2021 he wrote and directed the short In My Eyes, winner of numerous awards including Best Film at In The Palace International Film Festival, qualifying for the 2023 Oscars; the short has also been selected for various international festivals including Alice nella Citta’ (Rome Film Festival) and Brest European Short Film Festival (France).

In 2021 he directed the fashion film On the River for the brand Emilio Pucci (LVMH), that was presented at the Milan Fashion Week that year.

He has worked as a director’s assistant for Gabriele Muccino (Pursuit of Happiness, Seven Pounds). He lives in Rome where he’s developing his debut feature.
